COLBY & NIKKI'S WEDDING

This stunning four tiered monster cake was specially co-designed by my mom and I with shabby chic and classic inspirations. This cake was also created for my cousin Lindsay's best friend Nikki [Flynn] Young on her absolutely gorgeous wedding day on Sunday October 27th, 2012. My mom and I fell in love with the light pink shade that we chose to create for this cake and had a ton of fun accenting the cake with adorable hand cut and hand rolled light pink delicate flowers that my mom spent hours on! She then packed the center of each flower with a cluster of edible white & silver pearls that looked stunning! Along with fresh pink roses, I then created my signature white ruffled flowers that we centered with antiqued pearl buttons that practically screamed shabby chic! This cake turned out flawless and we could not have been more proud of our design. Thank you so much mom for all of your help and thank you so much again Nikki for choosing me to create your wedding cake!

RYAN & MICHELLE'S WEDDING

Out of all of my Wedding Cakes, this cake was defiantly the most unique and non traditional cake that I have done! It exceeds all expectations of the typical white wedding cake and allows other brides to brainstorm and venture their own unique designs as well. I loved Michelle's take on a sparkling cake so I made the cake practically explode with hundreds of hand rolled edible shimmer dusted pearls that cascaded down the cake making quite a bold statement! To top it off I added several rhinestones throughout the cake design to give it some bling. The grooms cake, [forgot to get a picture of it!] was a 2 tiered cake made entirely of unwrapped ding dongs that the groom insisted on having. Haha, It was a ton of fun to do and super unique as well!

RILEY LOVES MINNIE

This adorable cake was specially made for my sweet baby niece Riley Madison, for her 4th birthday on October 6th, 2012. The second that I had asked her what kind of cake she wanted she told me that she wanted it to be Minnie Mouse! I immediately thought of the classic Mickey and Minnie mouse hats sold at Disneyland that I LOVE seeing kids wear. I had so much fun making such an adorable cake and Riley LOVED it!

NICHOLAS & MELISSA'S WEDDING

I had so much fun creating this cake. It was my second time creating handcrafted and entirely edible coral lilies and they turned out perfect! I hand painted each petal with small black dots to get them a realistic feel. The navy blue and coral coloring for this cake was such a unique combination and I loved experimenting and working with the two colors! The swirls were made from my homemade marshmallow fondant and put through my Cricut Cake machine that gave me the most gorgeous and whimsical swirls :) I then bedazzled the cake with a ton of white edible pearls to give it that classy wedding feel. The bride absolutely loved her cake and I could not have been happier with it myself!

JUSTIN & HEATHER'S WEDDING

This Dusty Rose & Lace cake was a specially requested design from the bride that turned out absolutely gorgeous. It took about 12 Hours to and press and create each piece of the edible lace[ that you so much mom for all of your help with that :) ] and dust each one with an edible shimmer dust & glitter. While this antique styled cake would normally be paired with white or pink roses, the bride chose her favorite green succulent cactus flower to match the rest of her wedding.

GAVIN & JANELLE'S WEDDING

The stunning ivory lace decor on this cake may look simple, but surprisingly it took my mom and I about 17 hours to carefully handcraft and place onto the cake! With accented edible pearls, the entire cake dusted in a glitter shimmer dust and what felt like a million pieces of lace and connecting strips, the cake turned out to be just as beautiful as we had hoped it to be! We wanted someone to be able to look up close to the cake and literally not be able to tell if the lace was real or edible! Along side the wedding cake, I also created a crazy fun baseball themed grooms cake that represented the grooms college as well as the bride and groom on top of the cake! The bride and groom were entirely hand crafted myself as well as all of the other details of the cake! AND I loved the grass field cake stand that the bride had provided for the grooms cake. It made everything THAT MUCH more fun.

DR SEUSS CUPCAKE CRAZE

These adorable cupcakes were created for Weston's 1st Birthday on September 15th, 2012. I was more than honored to create Weston's baby shower cake the year prior and I could not wait to be able to create something so special for his 1st birthday this year! With the Dr. Seuss theme, I chose to handcraft some of the most legendary aspects of the Dr. Seuss books and did everything I could to hand paint each of my edible pieces to look as if Dr. Seuss had drawn them up himself :) Krystal absolutely LOVED her son's cupcakes and I was more than proud of them! [especially of the green eggs and ham!]

Melissa, I just wanted to thank you so much for making
Weston's Dr. Seuss cupcakes for his 1st Birthday party!
They were such a great hit, everyone loved and enjoyed
them!! They were so adorable and matched perfectly with the
theme! I look forward to ordering more for our up coming
baby shower! Thanks again.

BRETT & MELANIE'S WEDDING

This cake design was based off of several previous cakes that I have done for Weddings! It highlights a whimsical theme of black swirls and enhances the vibrance of colors in their wedding. I also accented the black swirls with a ton of edible pearls dusted in an edible shimmer dust as well as appropriately placed larger edible silver metallic pearls to bling the cake up. They chose to display a unique orange Gerber daisy on their cake with accented purple flowers to coordinate with the rest of their wedding. The cake turned out be so incredibly beautiful and I Loved working her colors.

RUFFLE MANIA

This cake was done with the inspiration of an Old School 16 Candles birthday theme. It was done for a 40th birthday however, and consisted of a ton of ruffles and some simple pink flowers to top it off. I rimmed each of the ruffles with a specific tool to thin the edges and give them more of a realistic look. I also rimmed the flowers in an edible metallic silver paint to make them especially pop. This cake was fun to make however very time consuming!

TRAVIS & KELLY'S WEDDING

This particular cake was Specially created for my very own best friend of 19 years, Kelly Elizabeth and her new hubby, Travis Williams for their happily awaited Wedding Day on September 1st, 2012. I showed Kelly A TON of cake pictures and she literally just let me run free with all of my ideas for the design of this cake. We both fell IN LOVE with the idea of a circular tier covered in ombre ruffles that fade from a solid white to a deep cream color. To pull the deep cream colors into the rest of the cake design, I handcrafted a variety of different edible roses and flowers that looked absolutely gorgeous both in person and in pictures. The large black buttons going down the center of the second tier, were each pressed into a lace mold and dusted with an edible pearl shimmer dust. This gave them a gorgeous and elegant texture that my camera sadly could not capture! Kelly love love LOVED her Wedding cake and I could not even begin to express the amount of compliments that I received the entire reception about the design and especially the taste of each of the cake flavors! It was a HUGE success and I was sooo proud :) Congratulations again Travis and Kelly! I love you both so much.

10 YEARS OF LOVE

This "Blinged" out Cake and Cupcake duo was ordered for a very special 10 Year Wedding Anniversary Party hosted in Carlsbad on August 25th, 2012. We chose to keep the cake design simple and paired both the cake and cupcakes with some elegant and silver rimmed flowers that looked stunning! They wanted everything to sparkle so I added a gorgeous rhinestone ribbon around the bottom of each cake tier as well as added some large rhinestones to the tops of some of the cupcakes! [for once something NOT edible on my work!] Everything turned out beautiful and I was so proud of the ending result. Thank you so much again Poolak and congratulations again on your amazing 10 Years of Marriage <3

Cake and Cupcakes were a huge success!! Thank you so much!!

RED HAT SOCIETY LOVE

This was my first request for a Red Hat Society cake. It was ordered for an amazing woman's 80th birthday, and I knew that I HAD to give the cake some spunk! The ladies in these societies are always glammed up and decked out in deep purples, vibrant reds, pearls and of course fun hats! I chose to top the cake with a giant red had made entirely of rice crispy treats and marshmallow fondant. With the spunk of a large purple feather and white flowers, I was able to create the exact look that I was going for. I created a purple demask against a red cake to highlight the colors of this society. I then added a shimmer dusted pearl necklace to capture the classy essence of these women. I fell in love with this cake and I am sure the Birthday Girl LOVED it, would not doubt it!

HAWAIIAN BREEZE

This tropical inspired cake was absolutely WAY TOO MUCH fun to make! Everything is once again, entirely edible and completely handcrafted. I Hand cut the giant white Hawaiian flower myself for the bulk of the cake design and paired it with an adorable pink and yellow flower that I dusted with edible shimmer dusts and powders. The Beach chair was one of my favorite parts and took almost 3 days to put to together. I had to wait while each of the pieces had dried. One of the main requests for this cake was to create an edible Laura, the birthday girl on top of the cake! I loved how adorable she turned out. I could not be more proud of her little sandals, her orange dress and my hand painted lettering on her dress and on the back of the cake. It was an overall success and I am SURE Laura loved it :)

Everyone loved it!!! Thanks so much Melissa! She was blown away :)
Couldn't have asked for a more perfect cake.
